NEIL BONKE Shrinks Lifetime into 10 Minutes
Neil BonkeBorn and raised in Rochester, N.Y., Neil said he saw a lot of grey skies growing up -- nine months of winter and three months of bad sledding.  His grandparents came to America from what is now Poland in 1886.  His mother was a fashion model and they lived through the Ozzie and Harriet era.  Neil had a paper route, entered the Soap Box Derby and was active in all sports.

Neil attended college at Clarkson University, and Potsdam University where he focused on engineering and business.  He met and married his spouse Karen, who was a guest today, in 1964.  Neil said he graduated from college, got married, an apartment and a job -- all in the same month.

Karen and Neil have a daughter, Bryn and a son, Bruce, both of who followed their parents to California and live nearby.

Neil spent a long career in engineering, sales and marketing, culminating with serving as CEO of a public company in Silicon Valley, where he has been active in business and civic affairs since 1987.

Neil's advice on a happy life:  "This country is like no other.  Follow your heart and passions."
