COMMUNITY SERVICE SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION 2008
To Scholarship Applicants: Please read the following information before filling out the attached Scholarship Application Form. It will also be necessary to attach the additional documents that are described in the Application form. PLEASE READ THE APPLICATION FORM CAREFULLY.
The Rotary Club of Los Altos provides annual Community Service Scholarships to local high school seniors and Foothill Community College students who plan to continue their education at an accredited post-secondary school or college. A primary mission of Rotary is to promote Service Above Self. The purpose of these awards is to encourage student participation in community service, reward intellectual excellence, and provide needed financial assistance for further education. In order of importance, the criteria for these scholarships are:
1. Significant community service
2. Minimum grade point average of 3.0
3. Financial need
Rotary scholarships are not available to families of Rotarians.
All information provided will remain confidential. Please submit completed application forms with the required accompanying documents to:

Deadline: APPLICATIONS MUST BE RECEIVED AT THE LOCATION DESIGNATED IN THE APPLICATION FORM BY APRIL 9th 2008, 5:00 PM.
Awards will be presented to winners at a Los Altos Rotary Club luncheon in May.
